At the end of the Spring Term, the Catering Department had a full kitchen audit, which was carried out by a local environmental health officer. The inspections took place in the kitchens within the houses, Health and Fitness Centre and the kitchens on main site. This was the first inspection the Catering Department had received since the pandemic.
All the catering areas received 5 star ratings, which is the highest award given to a catering establishment. The rating is for the cleanliness of the kitchen, the correct management of the food safety systems, staff training and the confidence of the staff that work within the department.
