CLC Community Pilgrimage
3rd November 2025

Last month, a group of staff and pupils had the privilege of walking 12 miles following the Pilgrim Way, from Gloucester Cathedral to Tewkesbury Abbey.

Our journey began with a blessing from Canon Rebecca Lloyd at Gloucester Cathedral before we set off along a beautiful route through the Severn Meadows, pausing midway for a welcome pub lunch. We arrived at Tewkesbury Abbey in time to join the community for Choral Evensong, and even our pilgrim dog, Jarvis, seemed to enjoy the singing!

Pilgrimages are about taking time to reflect on one’s journey, intentionally walking to discover more about God, one another, and oneself. Along the way, we took moments to hold and lay down stones and burdens when we were ready, to find items that spoke to us of God and the gift of life, and to walk several kilometres in silence, experiencing the deep peace that we all so often crave.

It was a day filled with reflection, companionship, and joy, made all the more special by the wonderful pupils and staff who shared the journey.

Next stop… The Camino?
