On Monday 15th September a member of Guild, Mingma (Helena) Hughes, brought her theatre company, Troubadour Stageworks, to run a series of workshops for some of our GCSE Drama Students and the Lower College Academic Scholars.
The first workshop was aimed at developing devising skills to support the GCSE students with their practical coursework.
The second workshop for the Academic Scholars focused on developing transferable skills through the use of voice, movement and drama skills.
This was an enjoyable and exciting opportunity for our pupils to work with some professional theatre practitioners, who are currently creating and touring their own work throughout the UK.

In the evening, the company gave a performance of ‘The Odyssey’, incorporating imaginative storytelling and live music, with eight different instruments played by Mingma.
