We are excited to share an update on UCAS applications as we move further into the Higher Education admissions cycle.
The dedication and hard work that our Sixth Form students have put into their university applications is truly paying off, with over 370 offers already received. Many students now already hold one or more offers for their chosen university courses, and we are pleased to take this opportunity to celebrate these early successes.
Pupils have already secured offers from a wide range of Russell Group universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Edinburgh, LSE, Glasgow, UCL, Imperial, Bristol, Exeter and Birmingham. Alongside these, students have received offers from several specialist institutions, such as the Courtauld Institute, Royal Veterinary College, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and the University for the Creative Arts.
The breadth of degree areas is equally impressive. Students have received offers for core subjects such as Law, English, Economics, Psychology, Biology and Chemistry to specialised STEM programmes including Biochemistry with Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Cancer Biomedicine, Population Health Sciences, Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, Chemical and Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics, Human Sciences, Environmental Science with Business Management, Climate Science, Marine Geography, Ecology and Wildlife Conservation, Biotechnology with Entrepreneurship and Medical Innovation and Enterprise, as well as global and creative fields such as International Business Management, Modern Languages, European Studies, Politics, International Relations, English Law and French Law, Fashion Communication: Journalism, Digital Media, Video Games Art and Design and Computer Animation and Visual Effects.
With many local and global institutions still considering applications, there are plenty more decisions to come, but these early successes, along with early offers from a number of US colleges, already speak to the resilience, determination, and ambition of our students, and our SFC2s can be immensely proud of all they have achieved so far.
The breadth and quality of offers reflect our commitment to supporting every student in finding the Higher Education pathway that is right for them. Our Professional Guidance Centre team works closely with each individual, ensuring they feel supported and confident at every stage of the application process.
