On Saturday 25th March, CLC’s Senior hockey, netball and lacrosse teams hosted Guild members for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon of sport up at Field. There was a great atmosphere and lots of smiles and laughter, and traditional match teas were enjoyed afterwards. This was the second time Guild members returned to College to play against current students and even a few brave parents joined in too.
The Senior Lacrosse Squad played a 6-a-side tournament with year groups playing against each other. It was wonderful to see the players thinking and adapting their game to meet the demands of the different constraints placed on them. Our departing SFC2s were supported by returning Guild member Cherry Healey and together secured the tournament victory!
An amazing afternoon of hockey with the 1st XI taking on a Guild/parents team - we were so proud to see the amazing talent in our existing and past players showing the impact CLC is making on the whole hockey community. A special well done to the parents who took part - we believe they may be a bit stiff after their run around.
The Guild Netball played fun ‘Fast 5’ matches with 1, 3 and 5 points available plus a double point power play at the end of each quarter.
It was lovely to see Guild members, parents, staff and pupils enjoying the event and entering into the spirit. Thank you to all of those who attended and we look forward to seeing you next year when we move it to include it in the programme of the Guild Reunion on Saturday 18th May 2024.
