This spring, 10 teams from UC4 took part in the Enterprise 10 challenge, putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test. Starting with just £10 each, the teams created products such as crocheted key rings, photo frames, jewellery and stickers, and sold them during break times.
It was inspiring to see their creativity, financial awareness, and teamwork in action - along with a growing understanding of supply chain management and individual business strengths. Many students commented on how challenging it was to run a business, noting that if they had factored in their own labour costs, they would have made a loss!
Together, the teams raised an impressive £948.25 for Gloucestershire Young Carers. Congratulations to Tiger Tanks for winning Most Sustainable and Most Profitable enterprise with their upcycled tank tops, and to Flat Out Famous for winning Most Creative with their celebrity cardboard cutouts.
