Every year many students from CLC enter the regional photographic competition, Gloucestershire Young Photographer. This year was no exception with a total of 27 students entering.
There were entries from schools across Gloucestershire and the competition was very strong. Entries from College were varied and interesting, from architecture and movement to pigeons, with lots of themes and photographic techniques explored.
Many of the students who entered don’t take GCSE, A level or IB courses in Art so it was a fantastic opportunity for them to indulge their passion for photography and compete. We are delighted to celebrate that, out of the 27 students that entered, 17 pupils were selected for a digital exhibition and three of those were awarded prizes of commended or above.
Those three students were Matilda (SFC2/Year 13), Sunny (UC5/Year 11) and Charlotte (SFC1/Year 12). All entries will be exhibited in school in the coming weeks and prizes will be recognised officially in Cups and Awards at the End of Term. Well done to everyone who took part!
