CLC Guild Seniors Afternoon Tea
1st October 2025

On Thursday 25th September, Guild and Honorary Guild members, who left College in the 1970s or earlier returned for a delicious afternoon tea in the Princess Hall (PH).

The Chair of Guild, Sam Culhane, and Executive Principal and President of Guild, Eve Jardine-Young, welcomed everyone and were joined by members of the Guild Executive Committee and College staff including Head of College, Jemima Edney. It provided the attendees an opportunity to relax with old friends as well as meet new ones.

The Princess Hall was filled with laughter, nostalgia and clinking of tea cups whilst friends old and new reminisced. It provided a wonderful opportunity to share stories which was greatly enjoyable and educative.

This event provided a gentler experience than the very busy annual AGMs and Reunions in May. The responses that we have had indicate that our guests relished being back in familiar surroundings and visiting the College Museum which stirred many memories. Items from the College Collections were on display too in the PH, everything from 18th-century rare books adorned with engravings of Gloucestershire estates and botanical prints, to empty stout bottles found in old staff accommodation.

We very much look forward to welcoming you all back in September 2027!

More photos from the event are available to view on Zenfolio.
