LC1 and LC3 Adventure Days
1st October 2025

Over the last couple of weeks, LC1 and LC3 pupils spent time at Boundless Outdoors UK and Blackwell Adventure building on their confidence, having fun and growing their friendships away from College.

LC3 Adventure Day

On Thursday 18th September, the whole LC3 year group ventured to Blackwell Adventure, where a jam-packed programme of activities awaited our twelve groups. You couldn’t miss all the excitement from four students racing each other down giant zip lines to the ‘Quad Pole’, where students climbed to the top of a telegraph pole holding hands with friends, leaning back and supporting each other.

One of the favourites was the ‘3G Swing’, where three students were connected to a giant swing and hoisted up to nervous heights, before pulling a cord and releasing themselves to swing through the air. As the name suggests, they felt three times the force of gravity. Other activities included crate stacking, climbing, Jacob’s ladder and archery.

On the way home the buses buzzed with chatter and excitement!

LC1 Adventure Day

The best way to get to know new peers and make new friends is to have some amazing shared experiences and step outside your comfort zone, which is exactly what our LC1 students did on Monday 22nd September, at the Boundless Outdoors, Bell Heath Centre.

The year group was split into four groups, which set about earning points by taking part in activities including archery, team building, zip lines, climbing and many more. The activities helped the groups form some long lasting memories.

For their final rocket activity of the day, the groups used bicycle pumps to compress their fuel (water) until physics took over and they raced across the field with a whoosh!

It was very clear by the smiles, laughs and team spirit that a good day was had by all.
