On Tuesday 19th September, our new LC1 (Year 7) pupils embarked on their first adventure at CLC. We travelled to Worcestershire where the group had lots of fun taking part in a variety of different activities, including zip wiring and grass sledging. The day ended with a bottle rocket challenge.
We were very lucky with the weather, and the day was a fantastic opportunity for youngest students to challenge themselves, as well as get to know each other and make new friends.
On Wednesday 28th September, our LC3 (Year 9) year group also took part in an Adventure Day at an outdoor centre in Worcestershire. This is a new addition to the CLC calendar to enable the new cohort to integrate and make new friends.
The activities were very challenging for some students, they included a giant swing, a giant zip wire, high ropes challenges and archery. The students were placed in groups at random to give them the opportunity to meet new friends.
Both events have made it a wonderful start to the new academic year.
