LC3 Camp 2025
7th July 2025

The LC3 summer camp held at Croft Farm Water Park each year is known for its relaxed atmosphere, wide range of activities on and off the water, and trying new things. This year was no exception - throw in some glorious sunshine and we had a combination that led to excellent shared experiences that the students will remember for a lifetime.

All students stayed in tented accommodation and took part in a varied programme of activities.

The water-based activities included sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boards and canoeing with each session including a lot of games and fun. The land-based activities of crate stacking, archery and hill walking allowed for some nice conversations and reflection on the year.

Around the campsite, the students were seen to relax, mingle and spend time with friends. It was great to see students chatting and enjoying the wildlife whilst wading in the water over lunches and dinner times. Everyone enjoyed the large BBQ provided by school catering each night, with many compliments coming from students.

We can’t have a complete account of the trip without mentioning the wasps this year which were ever present around the camp - but did lead to the students having to face new challenges just trying to put rubbish in a bin!

The students took on all activities well with a lot of staff making excellent comments about how well they all got involved and the persistence and politeness in some very hot conditions.

We hope they have all got good stories to tell.
