Pi Day 2026
30th March 2026

The Maths Department was delighted to celebrate Pi Day this year by hosting a special enrichment session for LC1 students. The event was a fantastic success, and we are proud to share just how well the students engaged throughout the day.

From start to finish, LC1 demonstrated exemplary behaviour and enthusiasm, fully immersing themselves in a wide range of creative and mathematical activities. The session included measuring circles to explore the concept of π, writing Pi-themed poems, creating words from the digits of Pi, and tackling a variety of mathematical challenges.

It was wonderful to see students working collaboratively, showing excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. They approached each task with curiosity and energy, clearly enjoying the opportunity to learn in a fun and interactive way. The positive atmosphere throughout the session reflected their willingness to support one another and embrace new challenges.

LC1 were a real credit to Lower College, representing the school with positivity, maturity, and engagement. We look forward to continuing this Pi Day tradition in the years to come.
