The A Level Class of 2025 has secured places at top universities across the UK, including Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Durham, Exeter, Liverpool, LSE, Manchester, Newcastle, Oxford, UCL, and Warwick, as well as the Goldman Sachs Degree Apprenticeship programme. Over half of the cohort (55%) secured three or four straight A*/A grades.

Many pupils have also secured places at top US colleges including Cornell, Duke, Johns Hopkins, Pratt, Vanderbilt and Chicago, as well as world-leading institutions such as The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Penninghen, and on prestigious dual degree programmes at HKU and UC Berkeley, and Columbia and Sciences Po.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Results

In the Summer Term, we were delighted to share that pupils celebrated excellent IB results, with an average point score of 38.9, equivalent to three A* grades at A Level.

Over half of the students scored 40 points or higher, a score achieved by less than 10% of IB students worldwide. Six students scored an impressive 42 points or more, equivalent to four A* grades at A Level.

The IB Class of 2025 has secured places at a range of top universities and colleges globally.

These include St Andrews, University of the Arts London, Birmingham, Cambridge, Exeter, Glasgow and UCL in the UK, and US colleges such as Barnard College, University of Chicago, Santa Clara University, University of Southern California, and Vilanova University.

Courses range from Fashion Management, Law, and Medicine, to History, Geography, Biomedical Sciences, and Philosophy and Physics.

The school’s results are significantly higher than last year’s UK average of 34.7 and the global average of 30.3, when CLC was named the top girls boarding school in the UK and globally for the IB.

Principal Eve Jardine-Young said:

"It's hard to fully express the joy and the pride that I feel for our pupils and our colleagues who have taught, challenged, championed and supported them. Education is, at its core, a partnership and I am delighted for them all as our pupils now turn to what the future holds for them."
