Remembrance
12th November 2025

In this season of Remembrance at College, we seek to remember well. We remember those who have lost their lives in wars and conflicts around the world. We also remember those we have loved and lost, whose memory we continue to treasure.

This year, we held our own Remembrance service on Saturday morning, filled with readings, prayers, music, and an address from Archdeacon Katrina Scott. A group of us then joined with the town on Sunday morning and, as a whole College, paused for two minutes of silence on Armistice Day.

In reflecting on the importance of Remembrance, we have the opportunity to commit ourselves anew to all that works for peace and unity.

As Elie Wiesel wrote following the atrocities of the Second World War, it is hope that “summons the future”. We therefore remember with hope for a future in which we each have the opportunity to play our part.
