On Thursday 12th February, EET students welcomed a team from Renishaw PLC for an inspiring STEM show-and-tell and Q&A session. Read highlights from the day from one of our pupils below.
When Renishaw visited our team, it was a particularly inspiring experience. The four women who spoke with us shared valuable insight into their individual career journeys, from physics-related roles to chemical engineering, and even managing a specialised shop within the company.
Hearing about their diverse pathways showed us the wide range of opportunities available within engineering and reinforced how interconnected different STEM disciplines can be. Their advice on confidence, adaptability, and pursuing genuine interests was especially insightful.
They also showed a strong interest in our sustainability approach, asking thoughtful questions about our materials and long-term impact.
That discussion not only validated the importance of our environmental considerations but also encouraged us to think even more critically about innovation with responsibility.
