Last week, Sixth Form Ecology students set off on a field trip to Bishops Wood, where they explored the local environment and put classroom theories to practice.
Iris (SFC2) said:
“I really enjoyed the SFC2 Ecology trip to Bishops Wood because it gave me a chance to see concepts I learnt in class applied in the field. I loved that we got to spend the day learning about local ecology, when it's normally quite a small topic in class.
It was so interesting to see how many plant species live in different areas in the woods. Being introduced to the techniques involved in ecological studies gave us a completely new dimension to Biology.”
