The weekend of 7th to 9th October saw 74 UC4 (Year 10) students undertake their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Qualifying Expedition, with 60 students walking in the Forest of Dean and 14 paddling on the River Severn.
Friday started well with a mass kit check before we set off, but unfortunately as soon as we started, the weather turned and it started raining!
The weather cleared up after a tough first day and the sun stayed with us for the remainder of the weekend. The students showed great determination and resilience and were all successful in completing the expedition. We now look forward to seeing their projects about their expedition experience.
