On Saturday 8th July, SFC2 (Year 13) Leavers and their parents gathered together for Speech Day in the Princess Hall.
The keynote speaker was Celia Chartres-Aris (née Hensman) who is a former pupil of CLC and attended her own Speech Day as an SFC leaver in 2015, eight years ago. Celia is Co-Founder and former Director of The Disability Policy Centre and, with the exception of Malala Yousafzai in 2014, is the youngest Speech Day Speaker we have hosted. Her perspective was a powerful and poignant one.
Other highlights included the address from Senior Prefect Jojo, Chair of College Council Mr Nick Baird and the Principal’s Address. An informal buffet lunch was enjoyed in the tranquil setting of College gardens after the event.
