We completed our AEGON National Schools tennis matches on Monday 23rd July. Our three teams, U13A, U13B and U15B, demonstrated strong tennis skills defeating Pates Grammar School convincingly.
On Wednesday, we took 15 U12s to Cheltenham College for A and B team matches and Cheltenham College brought 24 U13’s to CLC. Again, we proved consistent and demonstrated fantastic doubles strategies, bringing home a clean sweep of wins across the board!
On Sunday Maddie (LC2) and Sofia (LC1) played the U14 singles county stages of Play Your Way To Wimbledon. They demonstrated some fantastic tennis against experienced county players, and they still have next year in the U14 category, so another chance to go for it.
Ten UC5 and SFC2 girls attended our first Dance Intensive at the Health & Fitness Centre after their academic exams. They all worked incredibly hard and made excellent improvement over the three days before taking their RAD Ballet exams on the fourth day. A mixed programme of technique classes, Strength & Conditioning, Progressing Ballet Technique, dance theory, nutrition and exam criteria kept the girls very busy.
We had our first four days of RAD Ballet and ISTD Contemporary & Jazz exams over the last few weeks of term. All the girls have shown a great deal of dedication preparing for their exams and everyone came out the studio smiling! We look forward to celebrating your results after the summer break.
A massive well done to Glenlee, who won House Dance. Farnley Lodge were runners up with Sidney Lodge rounding out the podium. It was wonderful to see so many girls involved and enjoying themselves on stage.
Our final Saturday of term provided a fantastic platform to celebrate everyone's efforts in athletics this term. It was a joy to watch you all perform with such determination and passion for your House. Numerous personal bests were recorded – and a special congratulations to Isla (LC2), who set a new House Athletics record in the hurdles!

Swimming holds the prestigious place of hosting the final event of the inter-house programme with Junior House Swimming.
The vibrant support and passion for racing for their House made for a wonderful display, with students digging deep - and often stepping outside their comfort zones - to perform for their House and peers.
Well done to all involved, and a special mention must go to Georgia (LC1), who rewrote a fourteen-year-old record in the 25m Butterfly - a remarkable achievement.
Well done to Glenlee who were the winning House this year!
