Hockey

It has been another busy week for hockey with the U12 and U13 county tournaments showing lots of successful progress and performance. The U12s grew through the tournament, narrowly missing out on regional qualification in third place overall, after beating Dean Close in the third/fourth place play off.

Netball

Congratulations to the U15 team who have made it through to the fourth round of the School Sport Magazine National Schools Netball Competition, narrowly beating Queen Anne’s School, Reading.

House Sport

Last week saw LC3 (Year 9) House Lacrosse take place, fortunately this time without the rain! Senior House Lacrosse took place with some fantastic displays of agility and determination.

Cross Country

Well done to Hannah (LC1 / Year 7), Carys (LC3 / Year 9), Si Ning (UC4 / Year 10) and Ella (UC5 / Year 11) who took part in the Cross Country County Championships. They raced for Cheltenham Schools with real determination in the wintry conditions on the undulating course of Newent School.

Athletics

Well done to LC2 (Year 8) student, Megan, who competed in the Wales and South West Indoor Athletics Championships this weekend. She is now the Wales and South West U15 Indoor High Jump Champion. This is a fantastic achievement!

The Santa Run

Last Saturday saw nearly 100 CLC pupils take part in the annual Santa Run. Wearing Santa hats, the girls had to complete the course and scavenger hunt as quickly as possible.
