The Summer Concert this year was a celebration of everything musical at College.
The audience were in for a treat from the very start of the concert, with the Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Mozart’s Symphony No.40 in G Minor.
The String Serenaders performed a suite of music from the popular BBC series Poldark, and the Percussion Ensemble, featuring Jazz Horns & Rhythm Sections, transported the audience to Latin America with Tito Puente’s Oye Cómo Va.
The students received tremendous applause, but it was Jazz Band’s final two pieces, Let the Good Times Roll and Flight of The Foo Birds that really got the audience foot tapping and clapping.
Congratulations to all performers on the final concert of the academic year. Thank you to all the teachers who have given their time and support in preparation for this performance, and throughout the year.
