On 1st July, a coach full of returning UC5 students, ably led by Dr Coker, set out on the annual pilgrimage to Go-Ape, an adventure rope course set high in the trees of the Forest of Dean.
On a hot and humid day, the setting couldn’t have been more relaxing, adjacent to a lake and under a dense canopy of shady leaves. Once the girls had negotiated with the geese who vigorously guard the outer perimeter, they were quickly into harnesses and up into the trees, crawling, climbing, swinging and sliding.
We were super lucky to have the facility to ourselves so everyone could move around at their own pace. Well done to all students who took to the trees, there was some excellent teamwork and impressive stamina on display with everyone out to embody the Upper College theme of 10% Braver.
