Greenpower Racing – Bedford Heat 2026

Early on the morning of Sunday 7th June, the CLC Greenpower team set off for an exciting day of racing at the Bedford Autodrome. Arriving there for a prompt 8.30am briefing, the girls wasted no time preparing their kit car for the day ahead.

The first race saw Aveline, Kat, and Margaret take the wheel. Navigating the course with fantastic determination, they drove a brilliant race to finish an impressive 7th in the highly competitive kit car heat. Following their strong start, the team enjoyed a well-deserved lunch break, with a burger van proving to be a massive hit and a great morale booster.

Energy replenished, the team headed into the second race. This time, Elizabeth, Emma, and Hermione took control, showing incredible stamina to complete a stellar 24 laps and secure a fantastic 6th-place finish in their heat. Their success was heavily supported by the outstanding efficiency of the pit crew, Lara and Eli, whose lightning-fast pit stops kept the team right at the front of the pack.

A special thank you goes out to Mr Plimmer and all the parents who travelled to support the team; your cheers from the sidelines made all the difference. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day filled with teamwork, high-speed excitement, and brilliant camaraderie.
