Students Celebrate Top IB Results 2026
IB Results 2026
Pupils at Cheltenham Ladies’ College are celebrating exceptional International Baccalaureate (IB) results, with an average point score of 40.2, equivalent to four A* grades at A Level.
An impressive 69% of students scored 40 points or higher, a score achieved by less than 10% of IB students worldwide. One student achieved the highest possible 45 points, a score awarded to less than 0.5% of students globally.
The IB Class of 2026 has secured places at a range of top universities globally. These include Cambridge, Durham, Oxford, LSE, and St Andrews in the UK, and global destinations such as Barnard College, CUHK, Dalhousie (Canada), HKU, HKUST, Northwestern, NYU, and the SciencesPo and Columbia University Dual Programme.
Courses range from Medicine, Law, Liberal Arts, Natural Sciences, Psychology, Philosophy, Politics and Economics, International Relations, Geography, Economics, Chinese, Business and Biological Sciences.
These successes build on a year of outstanding achievement, including the award of the prestigious Prince Philip Scholarship, to attend the University of Cambridge, recognising the exceptional talent, leadership and potential of our students.
The school’s overall results are significantly higher than the global average of 30.88 points. For Higher Level results, 90% of CLC results have been awarded a 7/6 grade, compared to a usual global average of approximately a quarter.
Our IB Class of 2026 have achieved fantastic results this year and I am exceptionally proud of them.
