Psychology Week
Psychology Week 2026
Last week was Psychology week at College. The team of SFC1 Psychology Academic Ambassadors kicked the week off with a talk on Forensic Psychology and Criminal Profiling in Prayers. Students were treated to an overview of the two main ways psychologists create criminal profiles: top-down and bottom-up profiling!
Psychology week saw a range of events hosted by students, including talks from Tobi on Social Media, Dagmar on Attachment Around The World and Lindsay on Exploring Neurodiversity. There were also some practical and fun activities designed to appeal to all year groups, including Brain Hat Making, Psychology Bingo and Becoming Psychological Detectives.
Lindsay and Iris interviewed a Neuroscientist about his job creating a career-focused podcast. The famous blackboard in the marble corridor was also used for students to guess the attachment style of real and fictional characters.
Opportunities like these allow the SFC1s to take on leadership responsibilities and share their genuine passion for the subject.
