Lacrosse
The lacrosse community loves a tournament! A fantastic way to bring everyone together and start the season with opportunities to develop skills, increase tactical knowledge, and enhance understanding of a wide range of factors that support process, progress and performance.
On Saturday 12th September, CLC hosted the annual Senior Welsh Rally on behalf of the NGB, where 250 young women from a range of schools played 15 rounds of matches over the course of a day.
The coaching themes across the board were: recognition of attacking partnerships, strong counterattack and transition from the defensive end, as well as excellent re-defending to force midfield turnovers.
CLC's 1st and U15 teams represented College well – creating multiple highlight moments during match play.
Saturdays are about more than just matches. They also provide valuable opportunities for players to develop their skills through dedicated training sessions. Most recently, on Saturday 19 September, players from LC2 through to SFC2 came together to learn from one another and deepen their understanding of the game.

Netball
Last weekend saw a fantastic first netball fixture of the season, with 10 CLC teams and over 100 girls taking to the court. Well Place was buzzing!
The focus throughout was on creating space, with players working hard to change direction, vary their speed, and get free to provide options for the ball carrier.
As the games progressed, connections down the court continued to improve, with some lovely passages of passing, movement and attacking play.
Defensively, players worked hard to apply pressure, track their opponents and compete for every ball.
It was brilliant to see so many girls representing CLC with confidence, energy and pride in their first fixture of the season.
A fantastic start with lots of potential across all teams - we look forward to seeing their confidence, movement and decision-making continue to develop!
