Table Tennis
This week we're celebrating Sarah (SFC1) who has been selected to represent England in the Senior Schools International Table Tennis Tournament. She has the chance to compete against teams from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man.
We wish Sarah the best of luck for a successful international appearance!
Tennis
Last weekend Leanne (LC3) took part in the U14 External Grade 4 Competition. She managed to reach the finals, which involved winning two very close matches in the championship tiebreaks. Unfortunately, she had to retire in the finals due to an ongoing injury with her wrist.
On Tuesday we had three senior teams playing their first fixture against Cheltenham College. The sun was shining and we had some good close matches and wins.
Well done to all who took part!
Equestrian
Well done to Persia (UC5) who competed at Kelsall Hill International (in Cheshire) in the 2* Pony Class. The height of showjumping and cross-country fences were 1.10m to 1.15m, it was a tough track causing many problems for competitors. Her Pony's name is Jacko (professional name: Ringfort Jack Sparrow). She gained lots of experience, ready for a long journey to France with two ponies at the end of May, for another Pony 2* which will determine the European selection.
Wishing you the best of luck Persia!
Golf
The Golf Team played well against Cheltenham College at Cotswold Hills with a draw being secure by Lexie and Jasmine (SFC2) and very narrow losses in the other two matches.
The week before Cal Shukla (Guild 2013) came in to talk about her Women's Golf business and was a great inspiration to all.
