Academic Assessments & Scholarships

It is important for us to meet all our candidates as part of the entry process in order for us to get to know them as learners and potential members of our community.

The admissions process for Sixth Form is two-fold.

  • Submit an Entrance Exam Form: a link to an Entrance Exam Form will be sent where you’ll be asked to submit course and scholarship preferences.

  • Assessment Day: applicants will sit two written Sixth Form subject papers taken from your subject choices, along with an adaptive verbal reasoning test, and an adaptive test (either Maths/Science or Art/Humanities), have a 1-2-1 interview with a member of the Sixth Form Team or Senior Leadership team and take part in a small, group-based activity.

Short-listed Academic, Art, Music and Sport Scholarship applicants will participate in an additional assessment programme at CLC in the same week as the entrance exams.

Please note: Scholarship assessment is only available by the November entrance route.

In late June / early July, you'll have contact with your new Houseparent and have the opportunity to ask them your questions about joining your new house.

The Autumn term begins at the start of September. Arrangements vary each year, but new students tend to have an induction a day or two before the term begins, to give them chance to settle in.

Please see our International Applicants section if you are currently attending a school outside the UK as deadlines are different for International students.

Late Entry

If you have missed the application deadlines we are occasionally able to fast track an application, although we cannot guarantee that this will result in a place. For a conversation about late entry options for your daughter, please contact our Admissions Team via the 'Request a Callback' function on our Admissions Portal.
