Why should I consider CLC for Sixth Form?

At Cheltenham Ladies’ College Sixth Form we celebrate every pupil as an individual, empowering you to take ownership of your future.

We offer:

At CLC, we believe that true success comes from nurturing well-rounded individuals who are confident, resilient and ready to embrace the challenges ahead. We’re excited to see you grow into an empowered young woman, ready to make your mark on the world, and we look forward to supporting you every step of the way.

I live outside of Cheltenham, do you offer bus routes?

Yes, we offer bus routes across Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and the Stroud Valleys.

See our Bus Routes page for more details:

What subjects can I study?

You can choose between A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). Both pathways offer flexibility, are recognised by universities worldwide, and are supported by excellent teaching and resources.

Are funded or free places available?

No. Bursary applications are now closed for September 2025 entry as our available funding has already been allocated.

What support is available for new day students?

All Sixth Form students, whether new or returning, join a new House at the start of Sixth Form. In the case of Sixth Form Day Girls, this is Bayshill House. This creates a fresh start for everyone, helping new students settle in quickly. You’ll benefit from a dedicated Houseparent and support staff within Bayshill, academic mentoring and an induction programme before term starts.

I have good grades, am I guaranteed a place through this route?

Post-GCSE applications have missed our published application deadlines which take place throughout Year 11. Where your application meets our entry requirements and your subject combinations can be accommodated within our academic timetable, we are able to fast track our admissions process and assessments, although we cannot guarantee that this will result in a place.

For a conversation about late entry options for your daughter, please complete an enquiry form so a member of the Admissions Team can get back to you.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

Our friendly Admissions Team is here to help you every step of the way. Simply complete the enquiry form and we’ll be in touch:

Alternatively, give us a call on 01242 520691, however, completing the above form gives us the information we need to best support your application.
