Students at College are ambitious for their futures. Our dedicated Professional Guidance Centre (PGC) offers a wealth of insight, expertise and opportunity to help encourage, guide, support and embolden pupils as they strive to find the right path for them.

Our students visit the PGC from their very earliest days in College, enabling them to make informed choices at key times during their school life. This approach promotes independence, nurtures confidence and encourages the girls to feel excited about what lies ahead.

PREPARING FOR NEXT STEPS

The PGC provides dedicated support to help students navigate the wide range of higher education and career pathways available to them. A specialist team of seven offers guidance on UK and international applications, including tailored support for US and Oxbridge routes.

Students benefit from a programme of events designed to inform and prepare them for future decisions, including careers conferences, mock interviews, networking opportunities and CV workshops. A broad range of talks, alongside support in securing work placements, helps students explore different sectors and possibilities - from hedge fund management and the airline industry to fashion design and PR.

Supported by alumnae, parents and industry partners, the centre also offers extensive research resources. Whatever direction students choose, the PGC provides the expertise and guidance to help them take the next step with confidence. The centre also has an extensive library and IT research facilities.

There is no passion to be found playing small—in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.

Each year, we successfully support students with their applications to leading UK universities, including Oxbridge, and a wide range of top US college and international institutions.
