History Olympiad
Three SFC1 students were crowned European Champions at the International History Olympiad in Berlin. Making CLC the first-ever female single-sex school to win at this level and the first all-female team to win since 2013!
UC4 History Trip to Berlin
Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, the History department took 33 GCSE students in UC4 on a four-day trip to Berlin, experiencing, first-hand, many of the locations covered in lessons.
Psychology Week
We celebrated Psychology Week with an array of events and activities, including student-led talks and interactive sessions.
Geography Week
During the last week of Spring Term, we celebrated Geography Week with an array of activities and events, including an International Geography Bee, a Mock COP, and a Fair Trade Chocolate Tasting.
UC4 River Field Trip
Before half term, the Geography Department took GCSE Geography students on an exciting fieldwork trip to complete their river studies.
SFC1 Fieldwork Trip
Geography students travelled to Devon and Birmingham to complete their fieldwork investigations.
Trip to Cheddar Gorge
The Geography Department took LC2 pupils to Cheddar Gorge to investigate the impacts of tourism on the location.
A World of Languages
Students recently led a Modern Languages Morning for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from local primary schools.
Pupils enjoyed activities including dance, games, role-play, art, quizzes and creative challenges, introducing them to French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Italian and Chinese.
Japanese exchange
This year marks the third successful year of our exchange programme with
Jiyu Gakuen in Tokyo. The programme continues to provide a rich cultural and educational experience for students on both sides.
