We celebrated Biology Week with an exciting range of activities that brought our CLC community together to explore the wonders of Biology.

On Wednesday 1st October, a group of enthusiastic UC5-SFC2 ‘hispanists’ went on a vibrant cultural adventure in the heart of Cheltenham.

Following their success in the UK National Finals round of the Economics World Cup in April, a team of five SFC2 Economics students represented the UK in the European Round in July, successfully leading CLC to the Global Finals.

The CLC Drama Department is delighted to report that all 44 students, who entered for a LAMDA exam last term, achieved a distinction.

Each summer, our SFC2 Scholars embark upon a research project, guided by a professional mentor who is an expert in their field of choice or given industry. Upon returning to College in September, they are asked to produce a poster summarising their research to present at our annual Academic Conference.

On Monday 15th September a member of Guild, Mingma Hughes, brought her theatre company, Troubadour Stageworks, to run a series of workshops for some of our GCSE Drama Students and the Lower College Academic Scholars.

Some of our GCSE students took part in Jamie Oliver's Guinness World Record attempt to get the most people online cooking live alongside him.

On Saturday 13th September, we were thrilled to welcome Animals in Hands, its passionate owner, Mo and his incredible collection of rescued animals to College.

Pupils at Cheltenham Ladies’ College are celebrating outstanding GCSE results today, with the highest possible grade 9 making up half (50%) of all results, compared with the national average of 5%.

Ten SFC1 students took part in the recent Cheltenham Education Partnership (CEP) Changemakers Showcase, an event bringing together students from ten local schools to share sustainability projects they’ve been working on throughout the year.

On Sunday 1st March, nine SFC1 students took part in the International History Olympiad at Trinity School, London, making history as the first all‑girls team to win the event!

Earlier this week, as part of the Humanities Lecture Series, Mrs Brewis from the Geography Department delivered a timely and insightful talk on the question: Is our climate truly on the brink?

On Wednesday 18th of June, the SFC1 History of Art cohort embarked on a trip to London, immersing themselves in the rich culture that the city has to offer.

On Wednesday 21st May, the Lower College Art and Academic Scholars were in for a special treat. We gathered together for an introductory talk about History of Art from Dr Lee Beard.

This spring, 10 teams from UC4 took part in the Enterprise 10 challenge, putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test. Starting with just £10 each, the teams created products such as crocheted key rings, photo frames, jewellery and stickers, and sold them during break times.

Students from across Cheltenham have been meeting for a series of expert-led poetry workshops, designed to inspire creativity and self-expression.

From 2nd to 5th May 2025, 42 GCSE History students accompanied by five members of staff embarked on an unforgettable educational trip to Berlin, immersing themselves in the city’s rich and complex past.

On Wednesday 8th January, during our History of Art lesson, we took a trip to The Wilson Art Gallery in Cheltenham to view Into Abstraction: Modern British Art and the Landscape.

The Art and Dance Departments collaborated for the annual Dance Showcase, working together on the production and planning.

In our latest edition of Forum42: Three Humans on a Sofa, Mr Hawley, Dr Webb, and Miss Constantine came together to discuss the question: “Is there a beat behind breakthroughs?”

On 1st and 2nd December, 81 students from various age groups at College graced the stage in a spellbinding rendition of Sleeping Beauty in two sold out performances.
