Animals in Hands
30th September 2025

On Saturday 13th September, we were thrilled to welcome Animals in Hands and its passionate owner, Mo, to College. All LC1 students, along with two groups of SFC1 students, had the fantastic opportunity to meet Mo and his incredible collection of rescued animals.

Animals in Hands is an exotic animal rescue service that takes in unwanted pets when their owners can no longer care for them. During his visit, Mo shared fascinating facts about each animal, their native habitats, and why some species aren’t suited to being kept as pets.

Students were captivated by the wide variety of animals on display, from the adorable pygmy hedgehog and graceful barn owl to the soft and charming chinchilla. For the more adventurous, there were also two species of snakes and a Mexican red-kneed tarantula to see up close!

It was an unforgettable morning filled with curiosity, courage, and plenty of smiles.
