CLC named Top Independent School in the South West for Academic Performance
5th December 2023

Cheltenham Ladies’ College is delighted to have been named Top Independent School in the South West for Academic Performance according to the Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2024. This is the fourth consecutive year that CLC has achieved an award and follows on from CLC being named South West Independent School of the Decade by the publication in 2021.

Principal Eve Jardine-Young said:

“I am delighted that Cheltenham Ladies’ College has again come top of the South West rankings, this time for Academic Performance. This is testament to the mutual inspiration and dedication of our teachers and pupils, and the breadth and depth of our curriculum. Their exceptional results, love of learning and resilience are developed within a context of support, collaboration, care and encouragement. This is a buoyant and positive educational community and we are delighted to have been recognised in this way.”

The Parent Power Guide is published annually in The Sunday Times, ranking the best state and independent schools in the UK. This year, of the 50 top performing independent schools in the UK, 30 are single-sex schools, and 15 are boarding schools.
